Hi Eleanor,

Kindergarten MWC lessons are written for 4 days per week for 32 weeks. The lessons are quite short, so I don’t think you’d have any trouble condensing them to fit your time constraints.

Please contact orders@welltrainedmind.com, and they’ll be happy to help you order a class set.

Happy Math!

I apologize if there is an answer to this question elsewhere in the conversation.

I am returning in the fall to teach a JK/SK class of approximately 19 students at a growing Christian school in Ontario, Canada. Last year, I struggled to keep one step ahead using a program purchased by a previous teacher. I am VERY motivated to find a new program and I love all the aspects of MwC. However, our KG class is only 3 days/week, and, obviously, is in a classroom context. Two questions for now: do you think I could modify MwC for a three day class, and if so, would I be able to purchase a teacher book and a class set?

Many thanks for your help, and hoping this can be what I am looking for.

Ellie

Hi Vera,

Most families find that they can just open the book and start reading the script to their child, without any preparation or pre-reading. Make sure you take a little time over the summer to read the introduction (which will help you understand the big picture of the program), and gather the items listed for your Math Kit. After that, you should be able to just go with the flow for each lesson. There are a few other materials you’ll need, but it’s fine to just grab them before that particular lesson.

Happy Math!

Do you have any advice about how to use this program so it’s not so overwhelming?
Do I need to pre read all the introductions to each unit and lesson or can I just open it and go each day and be ok???
I am extremely busy with 5 kids so need something as easy as possible for the teacher.
Can the MWC K be doable or is there a different program that might be better for my busy life???
I am not a math expert so I need something good and simple for teacher.

Oops, I haven’t updated that info here–thanks for pointing it out! Yes, MWC will go through sixth grade, and I’ll fix that now.

Happy Math!
